The Financial Institutions Bureau’s Bank Section is charged with the supervision of digital asset custodians that have been authorized, pursuant to the provisions of the Idaho Trust Institutions Act, to engage in the custody and safekeeping of digital assets for Idahoans. The Department collaborates with the home state of these custodians to ensure these entities adhere to all applicable laws and regulations. These entities are also supervised by the Securities Bureau for their money transmission activities.
